Lesson 2: Objectives

Students will:

  1. Identify what anger is and why people become angry.
  2. Understand the difference between fair and unfair anger from others.
  3. Identify the negative effects of HOT and COLD responses to anger from others.
  4. Identify the LOOKING and THINKING characteristics of a COOL response to anger from others.

  6. Recall and model the three steps of the BeCool response to fair anger from others: LOOK COOL, THINK COOL and ACT COOL using the "Accept/Apologize/Makeup" process
  7. Understand how the ACTING COOL response of "Checking It Out" can affect the outcome of a problem situation.
