Students will:
- Identify negative consequences of HOT and COLD responses to another person's anger.
- identify the LOOKING, THINKING AND ACTING elements of a COOL response to another person's anger.
- Demonstrate understanding of why the COOL response of "Take a Break/Talk It Over can be effective when someone is so angry that they can't listen.
- Demonstrate understanding of why the COOL response of "Take a Break" may be necessary before it's possible to "Talk It Over."
- Identify benefits of using the BeCool response to another person's anger.
- Recall and model the three steps of the BeCool response to anger: LOOK COOL, THINK COOL and ACT COOL using the "Take a Break/Talk It Over process.
- Identify additional courses of action that are available if the BeCool response doesn't work
Optional Objectives:
