Students will:
- Identify what anger is and why people become angry.
- Understand the difference between fair and unfair anger.
- Identify negative consequences of HOT and COLD responses to fair anger from others.
- Identify the LOOKING, THINKING AND ACTING elements of a COOL response to fair anger from others.
- Demonstrate understanding of why the COOL response of "Accept/Apologize/Make Amends" can be effective when dealing with fair anger from others.
- Identify benefits of using the BeCool response to someone else's fair anger.
- Recall and model the three steps of the BeCool! response to fair anger from others: LOOK COOL, THINK COOL and ACT COOL using the "Accept/Apologize/Make Amends" process.
- Identify additional courses of action that are available if the BeCool response doesn't work.
Optional Objectives:
- Recognize the perceptual-cognitive styles of HOT, COLD and COOL responses to fair anger from others.
- Identify the Looking, THINKING AND ACTING elements of HOT and COLD responses to fair anger from others.
- Recall and model the LOOKING, THINKING AND ACTING elements of HOT and COLD responses to fair anger from others.
