Situation Cards Instructions

Situation Cards describe social situations that may be problematic for students. These situation cards are to be presented as a game that may be played in the classroom. Each card corresponds with a specific lesson in the Making The Effort curriculum; however, they may be modified to better fit the needs of each class.

The game emphasizes that several responses may be appropriate for a given situation. A list of possible solutions for each card may be found in the appendix of the Making the Effort teacher’s guides.

Please note that these responses should not be considered the way to handle the situation. Therefore, the responses should not be considered exemplary, definitive, or exhaustive in any way.
