- Students will understand why it's a mistake (delusion or thinking error) to expect the Boss to relate to them "as a friend or homie." In addition, students:
- will define in their own words: Expectations, Unrealistic, Perceive, Assume, Relate, Realistic, Superiority.
- will describe what Juan believes to be the essence of the Boss/Employee Relationship (The Boss is a HOMIE.).
- will give examples of why believing that The Boss is a Homie would result in unrealistic expectations for "special treatment" from the Boss.
- will explain why believing The Boss is not at all like “a Homie” results in Realistic Expectations of how the Boss perceives employees.
- Students will understand why job success depends on knowing and accepting "Boss Expectations.
- Students will understand that it's a delusion (thinking error) to assume that how they look, talk and act at with their friends and family will be acceptable in the workplace. Students
- will give examples of how Juan's APPEARANCE had to change
- will give examples of how Juan's TALK had to change
- will give examples of how Juan's BEHAVIOR had to change
