Section III: Reporting/Coping With Sexual Assault, Lesson 14: Reporting Sexual Assault
Directions: Ask students to roleplay reporting the following sexual assaults, specifying who they might choose to tell in each situation.
- You and your uncle were driving in his car. He reached over and touched your crotch.
- You and your brother were wrestling when he started grabbing your breasts/ buttocks.
- The man next door called you over to get some fresh peaches. When you turned around, he opened his clothes and exposed the private area of his body.
- A policeman called you over at the park. He took you into the bathroom and touched your crotch.
- A teacher asked you to stay after school to help out. Then he opened your clothes and touched your breasts/penis.
- Your mother's boyfriend was sitting with you on the couch. He put his hand between your legs and said he would be angry if you told anyone.
- Your coach touches your private body areas every time he is alone with you in the locker room. He says if you tell, he will have to go to jail.
- Your boss always pats your buttocks when she walks by.
- Your boss pulled you in the back room and forced you to have sex with him. He says you will be fired if you tell anyone.
- The leader of your church group likes to take pictures of the kids in the group. One day he tricks you into taking off your clothes for some pictures.
- A stranger grabbed you at the park and raped you.
- Your grandfather has been touching the private areas of your body since you were a little kid. Now you know it is wrong and want it to stop.
- A date forced you to have sex with him/her. He/she says people will laugh at you if you say it was rape because it happened on a date.
- When the nurse left the room, your doctor began touching the private areas of your body in a sexual way.
- A man was masturbating in the restroom at the movies.
- A woman who you often see on the bus begins rubbing your thigh.
