Students will:
- Understand that sadness usually follows the loss of a loved one, such as a person or pet, through separation or death.
Teacher Notes
Because the loss of a loved one can provoke profound sadness, we do not suggest beginning an extensive discussion unless you have had appropriate training. Again, point out to students that as the loss of a loved one leads to sadness, so it can loss lead to anger, and that many times we can experience more than one feelings at the same time!
Discussion
