Vocabulary: No new vocabulary introduced.
Materials: Picture Cards 38 and 39

Teacher can read each letter and give students an opportunity to decide together how they would respond to the girl's question. Answers can be shared orally or in writing depending on students' written language abilities.
- Private Talk Show. (The purpose of this activity is to reassure students that others have gone through and survived the same experiences that they are having now.) Invite a few mothers or the school nurse or counselor in as guests. With the teacher as the host of the program and the students as the audience, simulate a TV talk show. (Guests should have the opportunity to see the interview questions in advance.)
