Objectives:

- Identify the vagina, uterus, tubes and ovaries on the picture card.
- Understand the basic functions of the ovaries, tubes and uterus.

Materials: Picture Card 17, white T-shirt, overhead projector, worksheet #3 - transparency (C)
Procedure:
- Read Picture Card 17 and go over discussion questions.
- Seeing What's Inside. Have worksheet #3 (C) made into a transparency. Using procedure #4 from Lesson Plan 10, allow girls to see where their uterus is located. Be sure to explain to students that their uterus is actually very small right now. The average 11-year-old's uterus is less than 1 inch in size. A grown woman's uterus is about the size of her fist.
- Worksheet #3 can also be copied and given to students to label. Have students label the vagina, uterus, ovaries, eggs, and tubes.
