Lesson 2: Objectives

Students will:

  1. Identify negative consequences of HOT and COLD responses to bullying in the form of sexual harassment.
  2. Identify the LOOKING, THINKING AND ACTING elements of a COOL response to sexual harassment and other bullying
  3. Demonstrate understanding of why the COOL response of "Talk the Talk" (Ask to Stop) using the 4-Step Assertion Plan and Walk the Walk" (Get Help if necessary) can be an effective response to sexual harassment and other bullying.
  4. Identify the four steps of the 4-Step Assertion Plan.
  5. Identify benefits of using the BeCool response to sexual harassment and other bullying.
  6. Recall and model the three steps of the BeCool response to sexual harassment and other bullying: LOOK COOL, THINK COOL and ACT COOL using the "Talk the Talk" (Ask to Stop) and "Walk the Walk" (Get Help if necessary) process.

Optional Objectives:

  1. Recognize the perceptual cognitive styles of HOT, COLD and COOL responses to sexual harassment and other bullying.
