Scene Description
Sandy and Lori are roommates. Sandy is extremely excited about the fact that Jerry has asked her to the “big dance.” After much pleading, Lori agrees to lend her favorite dress to Dandy for the dance. On the way home, Sandy ends up having to change a tire on Jerry’s car… not a good idea. Especially if you’re wearing someone else’s favorite dress.
Teacher Notes
Sometimes the person who is angry with you is so angry they "can't be reasoned with." In this case, the COOL responses learned in lesson One (Accept, Apologize, Make Amends) and Lesson Two (Talk It Over) won't work to resolve the problem. What needs to happen first is for the angry person to go through a "cooling off" period. The COOL response to use when someone is so angry with you that they won't listen to you is "Take A Break."
